February 2025: waiting for spring

My creative focus continued in February when it was all about GREEN.

After the darkness of January, I’m always excited for the arrival of spring. Fortunately life continues throughout the winter months with evergreen abundance or peaks of new shoots to remind us of what’s coming round the corner.

I started the month in Callander where the woods provided more green than you might imagine at this time of year. We also explored the Queen Elizabeth forest park around Lock Katrine and ventured further afield later in the month for a trip to Dumfries and Galloway.

It was impossible to focus just on ‘green’ as my head was still looking for textures and of course the scenery was wonderful. The sunset was pretty spectacular too!
